Lights for the Kids, on a Volunteer Budget
Youth leagues run on volunteers and fundraising. The T-ball field's old lighting and ballast boxes had to come down and the league had already sourced new sports-lighting fixtures. What it needed was a licensed crew to install them safely at the top of existing wood poles and get them aimed right.
The dugouts and scorekeeper booth needed work too: lighting, airflow for summer games and heat for cold spring nights. And the park needed better security lighting after dark.
Keen took the job at a charitable price, well below our direct cost, because this is the community our crews live in.

Scope Delivered
Field Lighting
Removed the old fixtures and ballast boxes, then installed, wired, aimed and commissioned the new sports-lighting fixtures and ballast boxes on the existing poles.
Dugouts + Booth
Two 8 ft LED dugout fixtures with switching, three outdoor fans (both dugouts and the scorekeeper booth) and an electric heater in the booth.
Security Lighting
Eight impact-resistant photocell security lights across four existing poles, so the park is lit after the last game without anyone flipping a switch.
How We Built It Right
Safe work at the top of the pole
All fixture work was done from a boom lift on existing wood poles, which stayed as-is. Hanging and aiming heavy sports fixtures at that height is careful work, and it is where a licensed, insured crew matters.
Aimed, not just hung
Sports fixtures only light the field if they are pointed at it. The crew aimed each fixture and commissioned the system so the light lands on the infield and outfield, not the neighbors.
Conduit as clean as the field
In the dugouts, conduit runs straight and tight to the LED fixtures and fans, painted surfaces left intact. Small jobs get the same standard as big ones.
